If this is your idea of “great” then you might want to think twice the next time you tell your wife, “Dinner tastes great.”
You’re basically telling her it tastes like a melting pile of bat-shit-crazy conspiracy theories aimed at overthrowing the legal votes of the American public.
Let every Republican remember, if you disagree with the party, they won’t think twice about disenfranchising you or your vote. You’re just a means to an end… and that end has nothing to do with the country, your state or even your county. It’s all about soothing the latest Trump temper tantrum. You are expendable. Don’t be a chump.
Here’s a question for all the snowflakes.
Bigotry. Isolationism. Arrogance. Lies. Kids in Cages. Pandemic raging out of control. Hate your neighbor. Corruption and prison sentences left and right. Never before seen deficits. Backing out of anti-nuke treaties with Russia, Iran. And just general assholery. And yet, people are still saying, “I’ll vote for that!” We’ve got to figure out why they hate the left so much that anything else seems palatable. If not, the pendulum is just going to swing back into the cult of corruption in 2024.
Yes, the demons over at Fox News do a good job of whipping people into a frothing frenzy every day, but there’s something more to it. Could it be that our version of Woke is just a little to wack for most people? Are you clutching your pearls for me even suggesting that? If so, that just proves my point. So instead of the left attacking itself with ‘purity tests’, and expelling our own members over trivial transgressions, how about we just agree on some middle-of-the-road type of decency… show our friends and neighbors what that is through our words and actions – and build from there? You attract more bees with honey than you do with vinegar, as my grandma always said.

There is no joke there.
That’s some deep state, Nike wearing, cult level denial of reality there – along with the clear mandate of the people.
Mike should be fired and then put in some form of rehab. ASAP.

Not only was Biden elected by the most voters ever, giving him the clear mandate to lead our country out of these dark times. The margin of victory in key states is also a decisive rebuke to DJT’s sick version of American “greatness”. Still Republican’s lie like the mobsters they are, too afraid to tell ‘The Don’ he’s lost. How can elected Republican officials help their constituents if they’re unable to handle reality?
And yet, Fox news will spin this into something to do with Hillary’s emails and chump voters will somehow believe the connection. Hate’s a powerful thing, ain’t it?
A simple gut check says ‘yes’. Where are all the Republican, “National Security Hawks” on that?
The DJT “legal defense fund” is soliciting donors to “help pay for his legal defense”. (So far those court filings have gone 0-10, against their complaints). But that hasn’t stopped them. Because, in a small foot note in the solicitation, it says the money is going to “retire debt” and fund the Republican National Committee. This is essentially holding the peaceful transition of power for ransom.
If this is acceptable, then wouldn’t it also be acceptable for Democrats (across the board) to refuse to transition power in any election, as well, just so we can fund-raise? If that’s the new normal, how can democracy even function? This just goes to show that those who hate government the most, govern worse.
Nobody has ever seriously accused the Democrats of being over zealous or over aggressive. That’s just what Republicans love to claim. Why do they do this? Simple. If they say we’re being over zealous, then we’ll tend to be less-than-zealous. We default to civility and politeness. And, just like the mob, Republicans understand and exploit that weakness.
So when they want to win a political point all they have to do to gain the advantage is accuse us, out of nowhere, of “bringing a gun to a knife fight.” By doing so, they know we’ll arrived un-armed. And, as an added bonus, they can arrive heavily armed because we’ve already taken an opposing view, saying, “we’ll do no such thing…” and “we won’t sink to their level…” Unfortunately, that means all we’re left with is the all too common head-shaking sentiment of: “how could they?”
So we need to get wise. Because the Trump tactic is easy: Accuse your opponent of what you’d like to do in a way that they find disagreeable… this way they’ll drop their guard and then you’ll have the advantage (especially since Chump voters will believe the lie and revile Democrats for things we haven’t… or would never do.) This creates a feedback loop where they can ‘push us off the board’ by exaggerating our position.
The simple way to win against an opponent who uses this tactic is to ignore their fake rules of engagement and just do what’s right. [See Merrick Garland]. i.e. If they’re breaking the law, uphold the law. If they’re saying we can’t do something for some weird reason – even though it’s clearly within the law – then don’t fall for it. Be strong and do what’s right. We’re not the ones who are belligerent with power. That’s a Republican thing.
